Oiltek's
Neutralization Plants are designed along the lines of 4
fundamental processes, namely, Degumming, Neutralizing,
Re-Refining and washing & Drying. Oiltek Plants are
designed for processing a wide variety of oil. They are
equipped with the necessary tools for customers to
manipulate the process parameters to achieve the desired
end results.
NEUTRALIZATION
PLANT
Oiltek's Neutralizing Plants are designed for enhanced
performance through their outstanding abilities to
optimize the various chemical and physical processes
involved in neutralization. The entire process results in
the efficient removal of trace metals and impurities,
gum, fatty acids, colour pigments and unsaponifiable
matters.

DIGUMMING
Crude oil is pumped from the
Holding Tank by the Feed Pump. Through the Plate
Heat Exchanger, oil
is heated up to the required temperature before
it is mixed with the proportional quantity of
phosphoric acid. The oil and acid are thoroughly
mixed by the Knife Mixer and held in the
Degumming Vessel, which acts as a retainer for the
entire reaction to complete.
NEUTRALIZING (INITIAL
REFINING)
Degumming oil is further mixed with Iye to
neutralize the fatty acids in the oil. The
mixture is mixed in the Neutralizing Mixer and
then fed into the Separator. Using centrifugal
force, the soapstock produced is separated out continuously from the Separator . Where the
oil contains excessive gums and impurities, a
holding vessel is employed for allowing longer
reaction time before separation in the
Separator.
RE-REFINING
For some
''stubborn'' crude oil with bad colour such as
cotton seed oil and rape seed oil, an additional
stage of Iye treatment is required to improve
the colour and final flavour of the finished
oil,
WASHING &
DRYING
The neutral oil
produced from the Separator still contains soap
and needs to be washed. Hot water is added to
the neutral oil and mixed in the Knife Mixer.
The washed water and the neutral oil are
separated in to the Separator. The neutral oil with
moisture is then dried in the Vacuum Dryer
before it is sent the Storage Tank.
